The goal of the teaching on the basic doctrines of the Christian life is to help you find the LORD Jesus, know HIM, love HIM, and serve HIM.

These are teachings found in the 14 books of a series called “The Christian Way”, by Pr. Zacharias Tanee Fomum. This first course constitutes seven lessons elaborated from the book, “The Way of Life”.

As you begin this course, we encourage you to go till the end. We recommend that you should have a Bible (in case you don’t have it), to continuously read it and verify the Biblical truth of what you are being taught. If you don’t do it, this course might be of mild usefulness to you. Our quotations are made from the NIV version of the Bible.

Course Content

God’s original creation
Why did an invisible God create a visible world? Why God, who is Spirit, create a material world? What satisfied God’s heart at the end of the process of creation? Why did God create man? The objective of this first lesson is to respond to these questions, basing on the first seven paragraphs of the book “The Way of Life” and chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis in the Bible.

The old creation
God gave Adam the liberty to do as he wanted: obey and continue to be God’s partner or to disobey and die. Unfortunately, man ended up disobeying God and terrible consequences followed up till today. This second lesson presents this disobedience with its consequences on man and on the rest of creation.

Human attempts at getting out of the old creation
Many are conscious of the perdition of man. A great number of people try many ways to return to God. Can man provide the answer to this question by himself? Lesson 3 will provide the answer.

God’s way out of the old creation

The new creation
This lesson presents the new creation, the race of new men in Jesus.

Terminating with the past
In this lesson, we will see that God’s children who through regeneration are transferred from the old creation to the new creation, must terminate with their past, according to 2 Corinthians 5: 17.

Assurance of salvation
In this last lesson, we will talk on assurance of salvation
